Yeah, but did you name it?

How much you paying? Comcast told me they'd upgrade to 6MB ages ago, I'm still waiting. Paying $23/month for 3MB/256KB.

Consider yourself lucky. We pay $45 for the same speeds from Comcast in Chicago.

I live in central California and have Comcast. Rated at 3M down and 256k up, I got 2979 down and 241 up with that test. At least it's sort of in line with the advertised speed...

I pay $39.

I have Optimum Online. It's almost 10Mbps Down and almost 1Mbps Up. Only $45.00 per month if you have cable and $50.00 if you don't. I rarely get any down time. I am in Yonkers, NY, btw.

Eh. 575KB/s is only 15% more than you paid for. Nothing special.

No complaints here w/ Cox, either, though, and the limit seems to be more per connection than total...My dad and I have both downloaded ISOs at the same time, gotten ~600KB/s each, and no problems.

you guys have so much better ISPs than us....im stuck on what over here in the UK is pretty fast broadband, but it pales in comparison to yours

i call mine 3/4megabit.....sounds better than it is lol

mines 750K down, 128K up

i also love cox too........Carl Cox <----best DJ in the world in my view

Cox Cable in Va Beach, VA

I have a 4MB connection and I have seen a d/l rate of almost 600KB/sec once. Overall it's decent.

:laugh😡thread title.

BTW, how in the hell was Beavis still free as a handle?

AZ, 27$ with my digital cable (discount on the internet if you have the cable TV)

rated speed 3.2 down 512 up

highest actually seen, 700~ down and about 300~ up

edit: oh yeah, Cable America

I'm a coxswain for another semester =P

Optonline here. Stamford, CT. Downloads peak around 800-900k/sec for the first 10-20 seconds and then stabilize around 500k/sec. This is around 9AM-ish, so I can't really give definitive statistics about peak hour speeds. Either way, >400k/sec downloads are pretty sweet, even if my upload maxes out around 130k/sec.

I've got Cox here in Rhode Island, I think its fantastic.

For a while, we had to revert back to 56k,,,,,,,, it made me terribly desperate for COX.. (this doesn't get old does it?)
