That's my favorite combination of cc's for everyday purchases.

My newest favorite is Discover especially their generous ShopDiscover 5 - 10% bonus offers.

I also have the Discover card, typically the 5% categories mirror what Chase does, but when it doesnt, it's usually very win/win as I can go from 5% off restaurants one quarter, to 5% off restaurants again the next. Along with a few store cards, I got my rewards setup pretty pimped out. I fugure me + the wife could hit $1200 in cash back/discounts just by using the right card at the right time.

To make it easy, right before every quarter kicks off, I print up a little cheat sheet and put it inside my wallet, so when I go to pay, just check the shrat real quick to see which vard to use.

If two or more cards have the same cash back for something, I use whichever has the closing date furthest away.

No. Entire purchase must be on the card.
