Made a bet with my coworker on who could lose the most weight in 6 weeks. Weighed in today. Him 17lbs. Me 16lbs. Thanksgiving totally threw me off.

And even though I lost, I still feel good :D

Time for my

:p

Yah, in the span of 4 days I had:

- dim sum lunch
- turkey
- fried rice
- berry pie
- 12 beers (that I could count)
- green tea ice cream
- curry w/ rice
- beef w/ rice
- lots of chinese food w/ rice (3 meals at least)
- 2 cheeseburgers
- 1/2 a bottle of vodka
- dozen or so lumpia
- chow mein (x2 I think)
- mac n cheese

Thought I had a big enough lead and could splurge early, whoops.

Mike's program:

1500-2000 calories a day (depending on how active I was)

Restrictions:
- no processed food
- no food 4 hours before sleeping
- low sodium
- low sugar
- lots and lots of water

Diet:
- 6-8 servings of fruits/veggies per day (carrots, lettuce, cabbage, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, apples)
- 1-2 cups of cooked rice
- 300 cal of low fat meat for protein (white-meat chicken, fish, turkey)

And I exercised. 25 min of jogging depending on how my knee felt and light weights in the morning to tone my arms (not to bulk up).

Should've lost more weight, I slacked off towards the end on my jogging because knee was taking a beating.

what was riding on the bet?
bragging rights?

Make a second bet, but this time on who can keep it off the longest.

Dinner. Morton's of Chicago.

We're planning on another bet before spring break. My new goals are 180 by spring break, 170 by summer.

And no, the weight will never come back. Had to make a serious adjustment to my eating habits to lose the weight in the first place and in the process I learned this is actually better for me in the long run. I'll stick with it.

Gonna change the program a little during the next bet though. Gonna increase the amount of protein I get (maybe 30-40% of calorie intake) and cut out the rice so I can build up some muscle.
