I lost my wallet the other day I was in San Diego. It contained my university ID card, $60 in cash, green card, social security card, driver license, my card registration, and my credit card. I already freeze my current credit card and they will send me a new one in the mail in 5-7 days. I'm scare about the social security card. I feel very stupid and scare right now as Ive heard from friend that anyone can take my identity. Any advice or what I should do? Thanks

People exagerate what you can do with a social security number, don't worry too much. Anyway, the chance of someone finding your wallet and trying to steal your identity is pretty much nil.

I lost my wallet once.. like 6 or 8 months later it showed up in my mailbox with the rest of the mail (locked community mailbox, someone musta dropped it in the mail).. minus the cash that had been in it, but everything else was there. course, everything else had already been replaced, but it was still something of a comfort to have it back. don't know why it took itself 6 months to find it's way home, but eventually it did.
