I lost my WindowsXP login password!!!

What exactly can I do when I lost the login password? Now I can't even go into the Windows.

a) Try doing a double <CAD> at the login screen to bring up the hidden Admn account. Dont enter a password if you've never used this account before. Note: Your account is NOT the *true* Admin account unless you have made it so.

b) Use your password backup floppy. You did make one didn't you?.....................

c) Learn about your OS...........if your clever enough to password protect it.....................

Sunbelt makes a nice little app that bootsfrom a floppy and resets the admin password. I think it's like $70 but I couldn't live without it.

To make an XP 'Password Reset Floppy'.

Go into 'User Accounts' and select your account . Look in the top left box (Related Tasks) and click on 'Prevent a Forgotten Password' option. Then just follow the wizard.
