I lost a jumper. Where can I get one?

/\/\/\ what should I do. Does it come with an extra jumper? It was the jumper to reset the BIOS, by the CMOS battery.

Thanks,
Kishan

Nope. The only old thing I had was a Gateway P133, but thats gone. Are they all the same? Could I just get one at a Compusa or such?

If it comes to down to it, I may just get a new mobo, due to the problems I have been having. Anyone recommend any good Socket 754 motherboards? I hear good things of the DFI Lanparty and the Chaintech ones. Don't care for overclocking, just want a stable motherboard that actually works, since I have been having so many problems, and a non working computer for about 2 months now.

Thanks,
Kishan

meh...if you paypal me the cost of a stamp i will mail you one 😛 unless you need it NOW, then go to radio shack or compUSSR.

I just fired up my Chaintech VNF3-250 and AMD Athlon 64 3000+ and it seems pretty sweet. Haven't done any overclocking, not sure if I will. Compared to my P4 2.4Ghz work box, it's pretty darn sweet. Flashed the BIOS without a floppy. AWDFLASH is built right into the bios, so all you need is the .bin file to flash. But I digress....

Just jimmy rig yourself a jumper. I had to do that with my duct-tape mounted Cd-Rom drive with the 5lbs weight on top cause it would shake too much when it spun.

If you only need the jumper to reset the BIOS, couldn't you use one from somewhere else on the board? Put it back after you reset the BIOS.

Yes, or you can use a piece of paper clip or a small screwdriver (or any sort of metal, really) to short the two pins together. There's nothing magical about jumpers; they just make an electrical connection between two points.

Or you can go to Radio Shack or CompUSA and buy a package of them.
