it happens, but if you are a good player you should be able to bounce back. Take this time you are wallowing in your loss to read some poker books, then come back with a whole new insight into the game. won't guarantee you to win, but it will help you become a better player and win more if you are serious about hold'em.

Hey no lie, poker at my place at 8. We did have a full table but with that skill I can pull up another chair and we can bump elbows.

CHIBOY! You went to the Potawatomi casino?! Man, I gotta talk to you about it on AIM.

You really helped my girlfriend out. She is 1/64th Potawatomi, and can trance her ancestry directly to a chief, so she gets money from the tribe for school. The Potawatomi tribe is extremely small, but that casino and their banks in Oklahoma (they own and run the largest privately held bank in Oklahoma) have made the tribe extremely rich. They now throw money at students and at the eldery. She gets free prescriptions through the tribe for life. The best part is that her kids will get the same benefits at 1/128th, and their kids at 1/256th, and so on.

If you know what you're doing, playing limit texas holdem is easy money. Used to make a couple of thousand a month playing online til it was banned by the gov. I miss playing.

I know you can play illegally online. But your deposit options are limited and I'm not too keen to hide my winnings from the IRS when I used to be able to file my taxes with my poker winnings and not have to worry about it.

Why would you want to do that anyway? Doesn't the IRS get enough of your money already?

It isn't illegal to actually play online poker, is it? I thought it was illegal to host real money poker sites and offer them to US citizens.

B/c if I were to get audited, how am I going to explain all of these wire transfers from overseas worth thousands of dollars?

My friend lost $3K on black jack on the same night, so I guess I should consider myself lucky.

I plan to go by myself next time I go to a casino... It wont be for a couple of weeks. I have so many choices though... Hollywood in Aurora, Majestic in Indiana, or Potawatomi in Wisconsin.

HaHa!

My wife looks at things that way! We're constantly losing money on the Electric bill, water bill, auto insurance, etc.
(Funny, she never complains about the phone & satellite TV bill, just the DSL portion of it.)
When I was working hourly, I would occasionally take a weekend off work. She would then complain the "we" lost $XXX.XX because I "could have" made that much by working!

Now that I'm salaried, whenever I work the rare Saturday, she complains that "we" lost $XXX.XX because I don't get paid for it!
