I lost 30GB data!! NOO!! ugh, now the drive won't work...wtf is going on?! **Please HELP!**

i have a 30gig drive- i:\
i lost all my data last week when i tried using partition magic to re-partition the drive. it screwed me and my drive over and it is not recognized by windows and i am unable to format it through fdisk.
is there any other way to format this drive?

Have you tried rebuilding the Master Boot Record via the "fdisk /mbr" command?

can you try the following?
Just put your currupted HD in the system and no other HD, and boot using a win 98 boot floopy and see if it recognises the HD, then try to run Fdisk.
