I lost 20 pounds over the past year

Getting down to my goal of 215. I was 262 last year. I'm now 242.

Not much exercise. Just cut out 90% of my sugar intake and slowed down on alot of the fatty foods.

I have some ice skating and raquetball planned over the next 9 months or so ... I'm hoping to be somewhat thin by next summer.

Wow, eating less really works. Who knew!

Not really eating less ... just eating better. Giving up cherry coke was hard. Diet cherry coke just sucks.

I switched to water and diet wylers iced tea.

I also cut way back on the french fries and filled it in with other veggies and salad.

Good stuff dude 😀

But don't get too caught up with the lbs on the scales when you introduce the weight training and more aerobic work outs. You will be packing on some muscle so that will definately skew your 'weight' on the scale.

Remember if you look less flabby then you did a few months ago you are less flabby simply put 😀

Keep it up.

It's good that you have the will to lose the weight. Most people can't hack the sacrifices and return to their old habits. With your dedication, you have could have been at your target weight had you included cardio exercise into your daily routine.

Congrats!

I quit drinking carbonated beverages, and I drink nothing but water with meals. No more Coke, pepsi, etc. Just Water. Water is very good for you, and helps digest foods more easily. Also, low-carb works, and well. I consume a little bread, and maybe a little pasta, but I completely deleted french fries from my diet, any kind of potatos, sweets, and even beer. Yes, I gave up beer (whiskey and water = zero carbs).

Jack and Water is definately an acquired taste, and I'll admit my first was quite terrible, but now I swear, I think it tastes good, and drink it all the time, instead of beer. Also, I recommend Buffalo Trace, it's a little smoother than Jack, and just a hair more expensive.

At this point, I don't have the discipline to stick to an exercise plan. Every now and then I get out and skate 5 miles at a local park, but that seems to be few and far between. After a day of work, I just don't feel like exercising.

I think I'm going to start playing some raquetball w/ my g/f though. She has access to some courts at Syracuse Univ. Raquetball is enough fun that I'm tricked into believing it's not exercise. 😛

I lost 30 pounds last year, and so far 15 pounds this year. I was 300 pounds before losing the 30. I just stopped over eating, and ate 1800-2000 Calories a day. Now Im eating about the same but I am climbing 4 flights of stairs in 12 buildings(48 flights of stairs) carrying 15-30pounds up each flight 15 days a month. I should lose ~20-25 more pounds this year.

I lost 15lbs in a month from being in boot camp, primarily from not eating as much and exercise.

A friend of mine suggested about the same after going through boot camp ... exercise until you pass out, then exercise some more .. and you get to eat only what you can put down with just a spoon in 3 minutes.

The catch is that you won't stick with it not having a DI up your ass 24-7. 😛

I hear having a DI up your ass 24-7 was your favorite part of boot camp, Fausto 😛
