To get ahead you have to be willing to work more than 8 hours a day. 8 hours a day in College would be a lot.

5 days a week you mean? 40 hours a week between classes and studying is what a full load of classes is supposed to entail. Time and difficulty aren't exactly the same thing either. A person can "study" an additional 40 hours a week with friends, taking two hour coffee breaks and gossiping about whatever and etc. Granted, people can procrastinate at work too, just enough to keep their jobs, but...

College was much worse than work. With college you have to spend another 8 hours on top of class time to study, do homework, etc... I don't miss it at all, well I do miss the social aspect, but that's about it.

i had no desire to go to college. i ended up doing trade school for 5 years. i think i probably could have landed a cush job if i got a real degree, but at the same time i have a ton more real world experience then anyone else my age..

i hated school though, ever since kindergarten. i just hated being there, it felt like i was being babysat- and when i got older i realized thats exactly what school is. god damn it still burns me to this day. i remember spending days on subjects that i learned in minutes. boring wasnt the word for it, i contemplated suicide at grade 7 just because i couldnt stand sitting there doing stupid stuff around stupid people all day long.

high school only got better because i stopped doing homework completely, and i only showed up to class 1/3 of the time. i came in sometimes, took the tests and aced them. i remember a couple math teach being SUPER pissed at me, because i never did homework. i simply would tell them "if i can pass the tests, the homework is a waste of time"

lol if she was not lazy and a druggie perhaps she could be DONE school, being 21. I don't get why some people drag it out. Yes, school sucks, but just get it done and over with so you can start your life sooner. I was 20-21 when I graduated and started working at 21. Was the biggest relief to be done school and know I was free. Dragging it out just makes it worse.

I understand that but some people make the mistake of not finishing up school. At least she's making the first step, better than many can say. You're never too old to finish school.
