I like to eat fruit but it gives me gas.

I like to eat fruit for snacks, mostly apples but I throw in the occasional orange/bannana/tangelo. I know its good for you, and its way better than getting a candy bar or bag of chips. Problem is that after I eat an apple of two on a day I get a really bad case of the SBD gas (Silent But Deadly). Any suggestions short of quitting eating fruit.

And yes, I am serious.

Ummmm yeaaa. So fart, everyone farts. Or hold it in, see what happens then. Yep, definetely do the latter. In fact eat a bushle of apples this evening and let us know how it goes

Maybe you've got allergies to certain types of fruits...? You could try taking TUMS or Rolaids after you eat fruit and see if that helps.

Never head of anyone who gets gas from fruit before...

You could try getting some Beano and taking it before you eat any fruit.

My dearly beloved used to work in a grocery store and would do that. When he'd pollute the air, he'd make a face and point at the back of the last customer, usually some little old lady.

I think you just need to build up your tolerance to phylosazine. Eat nothing but apples for a week. Then you should be alright.
