Who gives a crap about numbers, really? You can either spend your day staring at tiny numbers on the engine and make sure it matches the number on the body, or you can spend your day tearing down the street with 500 horsepower.

Who gives a crap about numbers, really? You can either spend your day staring at tiny numbers on the engine and make sure it matches the number on the body, or you can spend your day tearing down the street with 500 horsepower.

Some people subscribe to the idea of concours, and in that case an engine swap is considered pretty taboo unless it's identical to the original.

I think it's an awesome conversion, especially with the IRS setup 🙂 Reminds me of a '57 Vette I saw at a show before, had a Z06 drivetrain, suspension, and rims just to top it off 😉 What a sick setup that was, and so is the Shelby, yummy 😀

If you want your car to be worth anything and not depreciate like mad, then you'll care about numbers. Speaking in terms of collectors cars.
