If you can get past the plastic mesh, they sting a bit when you get shocked by them. Incidentally, if you hit someone on the elbow or knee, it pushes it down far enough so you can get a little zap.

I got mine at Grand Harbor Freight for $3.99 this past summer. All 4 of them
