I like the big spiders in Oblivion.

They suck though, I just always use dominate creature and they start killing all the spiders around them.

In fact I rarely see any of them because the other creatures have usually already killed them so all I find are a load of dead spiders.

The spiders are amongst the ~300 extra monsters types that come with Mart's Monster Mod. It's an essential mod in my opinion.

What sword is that? I'm using an enchanted ebony longsword and I'm looking for something better for quite a while now. I'm a level 32 fighter and running with francescos mod.

WTF? Never seen that ever. Is that part of an expansion? How did I play the game for 110 hours and miss that?

edit: whoops, saw it was a mod. That's a pretty nice mod. And how about the sword?

It's the Gamebryo engine, and it's better than source at what exactly? The character animation and facial textures look like shit in Oblivion, and source's physics and scaling abilities are far more impressive.

Just because you can render large outdoor areas doesn't mean the engine is "better".

What are some good Oblivion mods and whats the point of the mods? Addtl items and monsters? Do the mods interfere the storyline, events, etc? In general, are the mods good or bad?

Yea it breaks apart to become each of the swords in the FFIV AC movie. But it's super heavy.

I looked into mods for Oblivion but there are so many of them, I just sort of lost interest. It would be nice if the community would wrap all of these mods into one big installer for us lazy folks. Seriously, I was looking for a cloak mod (wtf? how could they not have cloaks in this game?) and then started looking into all the graphical mods, monster mods, combat mods, I mean there are hundreds of mods.

I lost interest in the game when I was able to enchant all my armor pieces with invisible to 100%. After that, it was simply cheating and way to easy. Was fun at first.

I HATE the big spiders in oblivion. They freak me out, and the only time I was ever happy facing them was when I unleashed my 75lb hammer on them.

Man, that's the thing about the PC version. Infinitely upgradeable.

I played the hell out of the 360 version. Fun on my 55" TV though. 🙂
