I like Steam

I like steam too, but I would grab my steam folder from the windows.old directory that windows creates when you reinstall rather than redownloading everything.

Friends don't let friends do a dirty install.

Always format before reinstalling. It's, like, a law or something.

Nah man... 10 years ago steam was an annoying POS you needed for half life 2 and that was all it was, you still had to feed your computer discs for the most part just as OP said.

My how it has grown since then though :wub:

I like steam to, until it stops working, but that has not really happened to me since the counter strike days. I remember when steam looked like just a small little solid green box that almost always screwed up on me, good times.

Love Steam. Have been using it for a decade and can't recall every having any serious problem (some luck involved).
