My laptop on the top of my lap, of course.

A few days ago I ran a 100 foot CAT-5 cable from my basement to my bedroom, giving me an access point to my router from MY BED! Only an hour ago I finished crimping the cable and I brought up my laptop.

It's working beautifully. Computers are so much more civil when you're lying against two big fluffy pillows under the warmth of a pentium 4 processor and a geforce4 440 go (oh, and the sheets and comforter on my bed help keep me warm too, but those are secondary =p)

A wireless connection would be nice so you could sit outside and enjoy fresh air. I can confine myself to my room just fine without a laptop and a wired connection. My desktop does the job just fine..

I agree even though my PC is at the foot of my bed having wireless on my laptop is great... chillin in bed just chillin... aint it nice
