I like broccoli :(

I love broccoli too. I like to blanch it for sixty seconds, ice cold shock it, then saute in my cast iron pan to tender-crisp.
 
Hey, don't feel bad. I like broccoli as well.

But I also love brussels sprouts and asparagus, so take this post with a grain of salt.

Sure it is. If it wasn't people wouldn't have spent the last few hundred years selectively breeding it. By the way, did you know that broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and Brussel's sprouts are all cultivars of the same species? Each little locale in Europe each selectively bred different varieties of the same species that they preferred, and after centuries we ended up with several different vegetables.

That rocks, thanks for the information. I knew broccoli and cauliflower, and cabbage and Brussels sprouts, but I didn't know all four were related. I guess that explains why I like cabbage, too.
