I like Amazon.com!

I must say, their service is great, I'm glad they are still around. After all the Dot.Com companies that have folded in the last three years, Amazon is still going strong.

I have placed perhaps 4 or 5 orders with them in the past year, each time my order arrives quickly and has no mistakes. Just a week ago I ordered 5 things, 3 CDs and 2 books. I picked the free super saver shipping which their web site says can take as long as a week to ship and a week to arrive. Estimated delivery date was near the end of Jan.

Got it on Friday, shipped the next day and arrived here via Priority Mail just two days later. Talk about service!!!

Amazon and NewEgg, my two favorite on-line stores. 😀

Amazon 0wnz...they are like a Super Wal-Mart, but with more stuff, better quality, and you don't have to get off your ass and get that gut feeling of being "Wal-Mart-White" while you're dodging the rednecks... 😱 😀

Amazon is great indeed. However they have made an error in my order but an Error in my favor. I bought a Toy Story Box Set and they accidently sent me 2 😀 sold the 2nd one on ebay for 40 bucks

Overall they're good but they can really suck at some times too. Ordered an item during one of their promotions which should have shipped right away but it didnt ship until roughly a month later, then they over charged me and i spent two months emailing back and forth to get it fixed.

I love amazon. I bought two camcorders for CHristmas, one was a JVC GR-DVL720U which sold at Sears for $665 and I bought it for $467 plus a $75 MIR. THe other was a Canon ZR-40 which normally sells for ~$500 that I got for $382. Amazon Goldbox rulez!

amazon is good but I get better prices on books at barnes and noble quite often, especially with their preferred reader card.

i have to agree that amazon is a great company with good service and fast shipping. however, i have to disagree with people who laud over companies simply because they get their stuff on time and with no mistakes. i mean that's what a company is supposed to do! if they do it correctly, why are they so great? they are only average.

now if you deal with their customer service reps and rma department and technical support, and THOSE experiences are positive, then you can praise it all you want. but as far as getting my stuff...i don't congratulate anyone on shipping me the crap i already paid for.

Amazon has everything. The recommendations are always top notch. Reviews for the products right on the page. Links to people selling them used, on the same page! Listmania, so youd like to, people who bought this etc....

I wouldnt have read half the stuff I've read if it wasnt for amazon. I get to keep every book in a wish list that grows faster than I can read them, because its so easy to find good stuff.

Not to mention the best prices on the net for books, the gold box, free shipping.

Easily the best shopping on the internet.

Every time they ship me something it disappears in the process. I don't think it is their fault. I think the problem lies in the shippers since I always have trouble with every company. Anyhow, the first time I ordered from Amazon, it ended up in Earth City, Missouri for some bizarre reason so I cancelled it and then one day it showed up. They sent me a prepaid shipping label to send it back to them. The next time I ordered from them, it disappeared in the mail despite being marked as delivered by the postman. By the time it showed up, the rebate postmark deadline had expired. They were very friendly and offered to credit me the $15 I would have gotten from the rebate.

What's you-all's total @ the bottom of the start page?

I get this message:
Pliablemoose, make $1738.02 Sell your past purchases at Amazon.com today!

My favorite Amazon.com deal was when they gave me the $150 in rebates on my Toshiba e740 even though I returned it to them for full credit. They just said to keep it when I called😀

When the web site quotes two+ weeks for free shipping and I get it in three days, that is a good thing. Considering they offer 3 day shipping for more money...

Under promise and over deliver, very good business plan.

I've returned stuff to both Amazon and NewEgg, also no problems with either.

Which is why they are still around. Jeff figured out years ago that any two-bit company could put up a shopping cart. He knew he had to offer something that B&M stores just couldn't.
