Yes, you did the right thing. now, with your spare time learn how to formulate paragraphs, mmmkay?

This guy is going through a semi-traumatic experience, and you complain about paragraph format?

Shame on you 😛

Fixed.

You did your best and it was a good decision. Live it up, you will eventually feel that it was the best you could've done.
Good Luck.

It will hurt both parties for the short term, but the only thing I saw that was kinda harsh was the weight gaining thing. But other than that...welcome to the world of single life. There will be many good attributed of your ex that no one will ever live up to. Thats just fact. Not many girls ive dated have stacked up to my ex girlfriend (of whom I still care about). But its nice to be free of nagging and fighting...

 have a drink and have some fun🙂

The thing about women is that after a breakup they will have themselves a good cry, then quickly move on and be boinking another guy a week later. Women can basically get sex from a man whenever they want. Men on the other hand, can get sex only when women let us.

You'll never be happy. "What else is out there." What a stupid thought. There's always something else out there so you'll always be wondering and never stop and appreciate or value what you have.

Fact is, all you succeeded in doing the past eight years is learning how to be selfish and blame her for all your problems. Hell of relationship skills you've mastered.

"Know yourself." Guess what, Einstein, you are a fluid being. You will change. You will grow. "YOU" isn't something to know because "YOU" was yesterday. You are the decisions you make and the thoughts you think and things you feel which I daresay you know already pretty damn well.

I'd say you're stupid for breaking up with her and just as stupid for starting to date her. But hell, she stuck with you for 8 years which is more than most marriages and is probably longer than any other girl wil stay with you while you sit on your ass waiting for her to make you happy and keep the relationship alive.

Seriously man, have a couple  and take it easy for a while. I hate to say congrats to something like this but now you're free.

LOL.. WTF? He said he wasn't happy and hadn't been for several years. What more do you need?

Don't look back. If you wernt happy, try not to think of her, and a few months or even years down the line, if you ever think about her, think about how you wernt very happy during that time in your life. Write a little personal journal type entry about how you felt throughout the relationship, after breaking up, etc. Then if you ever get the urge to hook back up with you, simply read the entry and you'll know what NOT to do. 🙂

-could you really force yourself to marry without being with another person EVER? it's harder then I thought it would be. I had been faithful.

-I've never had a chance to grow on my own. Every waking moment when I wasnt at work or school was practically with her.

-Is it that selfish/stupid to leave someone because I'm not happy or can't have meaningful conversations or hate being around? I gave her a fair chance and have treated her well... she loved me but I just couldn't force myself to feel the same? Did I really do something selfish or was it better for both of us?

He's running from the problem. He needs to learn how to have a healthy relationship and take personal accountability for his own happiness. He's just going to repeat the cycle waiting for some magical perfect woman to come along who will forever be able to sense his feelings and thoughts and adapt to them and keep him interested and content all the while asking nothing in return but the unadulterated ecstatcy of his continued presence.
