I know this is what I get for reading Netflix user reviews, but...

Really, people? Eating dinner, reading the reviews for Deep Impact out of boredom, and I find this (sorry, too lazy to screencap/upload/link it):

"BUT (not to be a drama mama), I did NOT appreciate the Twin Tower shots. That's why I rated this a big fat one. Seriously, why bring up such a touchy subject?"

For those who feel like they were missing something...

Last time I checked, 1998 was a few years prior to 2001. I guess I need to check my calendar again?

I thought Deep Impact was a porno. So I'm guessing the Twin Towers shot was a double penetration scene.

Also, the correct term is 'drama lama' not 'drama mama.'

Seriously... the picture has the correct spelling of "llama" and you're too lazy to spell it correctly?
I didn't notice but thanks for pointing that out. Part of the reason I missed it is that the firefox spell checker doesn't flag the spelling with a single 'l'.

I remember someone criticizing The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers as being insensitive to 9/11. Then someone pointed out the book was written almost 50 years prior.

And Two Towers <> Twin Towers.

I can't find any mention of the WTC towers being removed from Hackers.

I don't understand people who get offended by seeing the twin towers. I'm sure it's not the first instance of a building or object that appears in a movie but no longer exists. What are the makers suppose to do go edit it out and re-release everything? Seems silly to me.

Wonder if people get offended because they show the Titanic in the movie Titanic. Titanic was an inside job, ice burgs can't shred steel hauls. :p

The World Trade Towers were in the movie Gangs Of New York!

SHOCKING SCANDAL IN HOLLYWOOD!

Marten Scorsese mocks the victims of 9/11.

...story continues on B3.

If you haven't seen it, it's a MUST watch. This is the ending. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-8Lu7MRjQs

I was so in thrilled with the movie that after I watched it I watched it again with the commentary. There was a bit of audio I'll never forget with the commentary was when Marten Scorsese talked about how he was on the set with George Lucas if I can remember right. And I believe Lucas was talking about how Scorsese was using the old style of movie making like they did with Spaghetti Westerns and how Lucas was filming one of the Star Wars episodes (can't remember which), and how he was using computer CGI and everything. I think now, perhaps Gangs Of New York could very well be the last movie to ever use a set like that.

Very interesting in those days. You think the corruption is crazy now. It was unbelievable in the 1860's! It amazes me that this country lived on.

Bill O'Reilly had a series of old western shows that played on the weekends on the FoxNews channel called Legends & Lies. It would be awesome if he did something with New York's history with the gangs and what not. I can't wait for this summer as I think that's when the next installment of Legends & Lies comes out about the American Revolution.

When I was in the 1st grade, I don't know how I knew about them, but I would always wonder about the founding fathers. Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin franklin and Paul Revere were my all time favorites. Did you know that Paul Revere was a silver smith and he made rivets? that went into the USS Constitution (Old Iron Sides)? It is the oldest sea worthy ship in the world. Next to that would be the HMS Victory which is on land and not sea worthy. Guess who commanded the HMS Victory? Non other then Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson!

Anyways...
