It may be sad, but sorry, only a dumbass leave valuables in the car. This is why thieves thieve. Common sense is a big part of crime prevention.

Uh, no. It was stupid to leave it in plain sight, but nobody has the right to break into a car because there are valuables in it. "She was just asking to be raped wearing a mini-skirt to that club."
