I bought my Timex Data Link Triathlon about.... 4 years ago... it's a great watch... works exactly as advertised, etc..... but I hadn't needed to send phone nunmbers and such since I upgraded to winXP.... well..... i tried downloading the software off Timex's site.... great.. installed it... then fired up Outlook(the program works as an extension to outlook to send phone numbers and such).... well, when it comes time to actually transfer the data, the dialog comes up and says I don't have the timex notebook adapter..... I'm like WTF? It's supposed to work using your monitor(CRT)...... it's always worked like that... well, it turns out that sending the data throught the CRT is only suppported under 95, 98, and ME...... WTF? the datalink 150 and 150s can be sent to through your CRT in NT, 2000, and XP, but no go for the watch that I have...

I said, ok, this is a great watch, I'll just buy the notebook adapter, it's only $30(a ripoff)... I dare anyone to try and buy one off the timex site..... "Cannot Find Item".... WTF? I used your link from YOUR website.... and i can't buy it here?....

Ok... sure... I'll break down and buy the 150 or 150s... guess what?... can't buy either of those on the site either, they come up with a similar "Cannot Find Item"...... why Timex WHY? I love this watch, i am willing to buy a newer version of it to use the features... but I can't? Also, a thorough search of my local Walmart brought up nada....

So, in conclusion.. I was hoping that someone had either written a program that will send data to the watch... i know it can be done.... i found a program(with source) that will do it in Linux.... or knows where i can find one...

P.S.: I tried running the original program that came with the watch in win 95, 98, and me compatibility mode... no go for those

EDIT: I downloaded This file from timex.com, and ran the program in compatibility mode for windows 95.... WORKS.... HOLY CRAP SWEET

Thanks for your replies anyway

I still have mine, but I haven't tried to send any data to my watch in a long time. No need to since I have all the phone nubers I need in my cell phone memory. But I do remember thinking that the Triathalon data link was treated as an inferior data link watch compared to the others. Sorry I can't help, though...
