Honestly, that is some serious nitpicking over something so minor. If you had to click through 5+ pages before seeing a game was Early Access, and there were thousands of Early Access games that are 'featured', then I'd see your point; but getting upset over one click to view a store page, and the maybe 10-20 'featured' Early Access games seems like overreacting.

It's pretty simple. Keep Early Access games out of the Featured Games section.

What I would like to know is what sort of sales do Early Access games see after they go gold? I would bet that they get very few extra sales since most of these games have been on sale and heavily advertised on Steam's front page for months, if not years, before official release.

And since, unlike pre-orders, the company is not actually under any obligation to provide a finished product when you buy an 'Early Access' game, I don't think those few sales are much of an incentive to actually finish the game. Especially when we are already seeing 'Early Access' games on Steam sells for up to 75% off.

I'm afraid that Early Access is going to cause games to be abandoned unfinished as the publishers decide that they have already made most of the money they can off of the game and there is no need to pump any more money into production.

Wasn't steam going to open the platform for its users? So that they could create their own "stores" and what not. I remember reading something like this.
