Video games. They were to blame for the dozens dead and wounded. They were behind the bloodiest massacre in U.S. history.

Or so Jack Thompson told Fox News and, in the days that followed, would continue to tell anyone who'd listen.

"These are real lives. These are real people that are in the ground now because of this game. I have no doubt about it," said Thompson, a Florida attorney and fervent critic the of video game industry.

From Florida too, where all the good stuffs come from apparently.

And those who blame the lack of gun control are little better than Jack Thompson, using a tragedy to advance their political agenda. :p

While I hate Jack Thompson, I did get an interesting Lecture From a teacher

Comparing Drugs to games. When you take drugs, you uphold the fact that it doesn't hurt you, and don't realize that brain cells are dying

When you play violent games, you uphold the fcat that it doesn't causes violence, while at the same time you don't realize that you just kicked the kitten at your feet for fun.

Hmmm....

Bull crap. Animal cruelty has nothing to do with vid games. I know I enjoy games and I actually became more compassionate compared to when I was 14-15 yrs old. Of course I'm not a retard like/opposite of Jack Thompson and claim that games made me more compassionate. It would be closer to truth to say real-life events and my mental development has played a bigger role in this.

I think Jack Thompson's full of it, but what game stresses shooting vital spots multiple times more than Counter-Strike?

Playings games to me is a great stress reliever

I prefer my violence to be fictional.
