I'm separated from the cat I wanted for many years. 🙁
All black. Female. Very affectionate.

If I had a choice of breed, probably sphynx, because no hair getting everywhere.

i want a shorthaired main my excellent compatriot, which is really just a giant 20lb cat that could eat a chihuahua but without all the shedding issues.

Everyone I know that has a cat tells me how their cat is different, "It's like a dog!" they say. Except, they never are. I've come to one conclusion, cats are like children and really only liked by the people that own them.

I've never cared for them much, but I can see the appeal of having one for people that don't want the commitment of a dog. I semi-took in a stray once until we found it a foster and it was a pretty sweet cat but I personally could never have one over a dog.

Ehh not really true in my experience. My first cat was such an asshole. Never affectionate. Always stayed by himself. You could never pick him up as he would become fierce and claw your face. He was the most anti-social cat and I was pissed that other cat owners had such great feline experiences while mine was a dick. He did mellow out in old age though. he purred for the first time I remember when he was 12+ years old.

My last cat was completely opposite (now deceased) and would never leave me alone. He would purr with ease and slept with me nearly every night. He loved people and was not afraid when somebody new entered my house. He was so friendly that he even converted cat haters into cat lovers and even a few into cat owners! Truly an awesome cat...

You need to meet MY cat. He's been known to walk up to complete strangers who are visiting the house like repairmen and delivery guys, and try to sit on their lap.

one of my cats does that as well. We had a xmass party last year, lots of people in an out standing around chatting and whatnot. he did not care he just wondered around and greeted everyone and let everyone make a fuss over him

Cats are cool! I adopted a Siamese kitten 10 years ago and
even though she sleeps 18 hrs. per day its fun when she
sits on my lap and purs..... Just make sure you bring them
to the vet regularly and watch out for the fleas....
