I keep getting this phone call (recording) calling me!

(903) 891-1102
W Asset MGMT (caller ID)

I answer the phone and a recorded msg starts:
If this is so and so, please press 1
If you would like for us to hold so you can get this person, press 2

I tried and pressed 1 and eventually it asked: To confirm that this is so and so, please enter the last 4 digits of your SS#

There's no option to tell them that this is NOT so and so and there's no way to get a live person by waiting on the line, etc, etc!
I know if I call the number back and tell them that they have the wrong number, they won't call again but I'm not calling a number I don't know. It might be a scam or something. It's also long distance 😉

If it is at work, there is nothing you can do without calling that number (and then who knows what Pandora's box you'll open). We've gotten that for years.

If it is at home, put yourself on a do-not-call list.

I've actually received many many calls like this...to my fvcking cell phone! What's worse is they leave part of a message every time. The caller ID shows up as unknown, and there's nothing in the message that gives a WHOLE number or identifies who the caller is.

Last week this little message filled up my voice mailbox in a few days. (I never answer unkown calls and can go a day or 3 without checking voicemail)

I wonder if I can find out who it is via my statement from Cingular next month...

I was on the Do Not Call list in FL and since the move to TN I never thought about it.
Just registered again though 😉

I use SkypeOut to call back people like that... Shows up as 1234567 or all zeros on their caller ID.
