This post is two fold. The first thing I want to address is that I have tried to download the full patch to Half Life for the 4th time in a row now. The latest patch (version 1108) is about 75 megs for the full install. I can download the patch just fine, but when I try and install it gives me a "corrupted file error". Each time the corrupted file is in a different place, so I'm pretty sure that I'm not downloading a bad copy of the Haflife patch. Even more frustrating is that I've tried a bunch of different servers, and everytime I still get a corrupted file. I can download from France, ZDNet or FilePlanet, it doesn't matter, the file will still be corrupted. This seems to happen to me with large downloads. Small downloads such as mp3s or other small files are almost never corrupted. I'm running Frazierwall for my firewall on my network. I'm looking at the network diagnostics for my firewall and it is not reporting any bad packets. So I'm pretty sure my firewall isn't causing the corruption. What is?
Second, is anyone else out there having problems similar to this? Getting corrupted files everytime is incredibly frustrating. My connection is literally only good for small downloads and web browsing. Any large file downloads that I perform are always corrupted.
