I just went in the spider lair

Red Squirrel

No Lifer
IRL

I have a phobia of spider webs - not spiders themselves, but the webs. The way they look, and especially the way they feel. I had a broom and flashlight going everywhere to make sure I don't run into one for each crawl I take.

Had to go in there to place the heater back as I took it out for extended testing when I wired it into my electrical panel up to code (was not when I bought the house). My home inspector told me I need to keep that area heated as it's above frost level and guess because the garage above is not heated, it actually gets below frost level in that area too and it's not good for the foundation.

I also caught this guy near the entrance a few weeks ago.

For those of you scared of spiders, may you have sweet dreams after checking those pics out. 😛

I suggest a movie called: arachnophobia to watch. 😀

if there is anything extremely important to be found in that movie, the concept of using, what was it... hairspray?, and a lighter, to create an instant and gloriously thrower of flames onto the big bad nasties.

Best thing I ever learned in a movie. Well, reinforced knowledge I should say.

My buddy has a problem with those spiders in his house too. Enough in fact that he has dubbed one of the rooms in his basement "The Spider Room".

haha yeah I tend to call it the dungeon or the spider lair.

The entrance actually looks like it's the entrance to a dungeon.

Actually during the house inspection I found this in my bath.

My mom was with me and freaked out and she's like "you can't buy this house!". Actually she never even seen the spider lair till it was signed off and we were in the middle of renovations. She actually refuses to go downstairs, even now LOL.

Not to mention looking inside a pipe to make sure nothing is in there. 😀

Actually that's a good point, I should of flashed my light in that pipe just above (seen in my second pic).

And yeah I've thought of running a gas line around the perimeter of that place and having burners all around and turning it on at random. Just turn that whole room into a fireplace LOL.

The spider webs just look like that because of all the dust stuck to them.

That is awesome. I have the same phobia strangely enough. I can't stand spider webs, but I really don't mind spiders all that much (as long as they aren't on me).

Omg. Mutant Spiders. Farkin hate spiders. The other night when I was leaving the bathroom there was a daddylonglegs blocking the door. I stayed there for almost 20mins blowing it, from a metre away, tryna get it under the door .. but fark it wouldnt move. In the end I tried to sweep it along with toilet paper, and accidently crippled its legs🙁 But I got out safely though so dont worry.

Everytime in the summer I walk out my door I have an arm up in front of my face. It never fails that once a season I will mistakenly walk into a full web. Last time it was so nasty... I had dead bugs in my hair. The web was really hard to wash off too.
