Agreed the movie was much better, but I kind of liked what they did with the ending of the movie. It was similar, but they changed it enough to make it stand out a bit; it really worked IMO.

i think this is just every single time there is a movie done from a book, instantly you hear "the book was better" from anyone who read the book. Either a.) they mean it, or b.) They want to be sure that everyone knows, they know the story before the movie goers do..

When I saw no country for old men, someone loudly described the ending in great detail before the movie started. That really is the ultimate version of B above.
