On a serious note, I give it a solid B- rating. It was entertaining and a refreshing take on a gore genre. I don't know why noobs are all sensitive about this film. How is this any worse than Saw?

I have to admit, the chick in the middle was pretty damn cute. I was checking out her tits the whole movie...

Great acting from the mad scientist. Very intense.

Watch A Serbian Film. This movie is like Hello Kitty in comparison. Then again, I didn't blink during either, so that just shows I have no emotion at all.

Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with people? If you enjoy that, why don't you just move to Africa and start participating in a genocide? God damn it.
 
I thought it was awful. I watched it probably a year or so after it came out and all I heard about it was, "Refreshing, a new take on the genre, polished, evocative, etc. etc." But honestly it seemed to be the same old tourist torture flick to me.
 
I find it hard to locate any artistic redemption in what ultimately is a torture flick. Don't get me wrong, I'm strangely drawn to torture flick even though I can barely make it through the film (I gave up on hostel after someone got their achilles (?) tendon cut with what looked like a wire cutter), but still, it is a torture flick. Filmed well or not, a torture flick is both inviting and repelling, interesting yet repugnant.

Nicely framed shots and well-done cinematographic motifs don't change the way I experience torture in movies. To me, all torture comes across as the same. I saw my friend crack his head from a fall once.

I couldn't stop looking at the blood pouring from his wound, and his cries of pain. But it was disgusting and horrifying at the same time. Same thing.

Wow. I just read the wiki for A Serbian Film too.

I kind of want to watch it, but know I'll hate myself for watching it after.

I mean, if Lars von Trier's recent creepy film - the title escapes me at this minute - with Willem Dafoe ruined my night, I can't imagine what this film will do to me.
 
Human centipede was great, can't wait for Full Sequence. Now that Serbian Film...don't know if i'd watch that, everything seems cool cept the newborn part. wtf

I also watched the unedited screener version, which I'm not sure if people are watching or not (only one has screener written in the top right hand side of the movie).
