The US government should use Human Centipede in their war against terrorist.

Show the movie in villages around Iraq and Afghanistan. Then tell people if they take up arms against the USA, that is what will happen to them.

I don't get what's even remotely entertaining about these kinds of films. It's like I don't see how they could possibly be any less creative than "lets put the most crazy horrible things we can think of on tape and since they're so shocking we don't even need to bother with trying to make movie out of it because its so SHOCKING".

Tough to watch? Sure. Boring as fuck? Check.

They're really no different from porn. Torture/gore movies have no artistic qualities and serve only as sick, twisted entertainment for sick, twisted people. Anyone who claims that such movies are "deep" is kidding themselves.

EDIT: Re-reading this, it sounds like I'm implying that porn only appeals to perverts. I don't believe that to be the case, but I still don't think porn can be considered artistic any more than torture movies are. And I find torture movies to be much more fucked up since the characters are suffering (although there are porn movies where one party is implied to be suffering, but those are pretty fucked up as well).

OP, if it "sucked ass" how could you give it a "B-"? Your standards must be pretty low. What does it say about a person who would watch something like this? I've heard that the 2nd movie is banned from England because of its level of depravity.

I think I would rather watch Little Fockers again rather than watch this nonsense. If I want to see tits, I can find plenty of em in movies/internet sites without people shitting in each others' mouths.
 
Holy crap just read the wikipedia article on "A Serbian Film". As messed up as that movie sounds, the guy who wrote the screenplay and plot is even more messed. Sounds like the sickest most sadistic movie ever.

I think thats the idea he was going for. i have heard about this movie a lot over the last few months. i have no desire to watch it though

Yep, just a sicko attention whore who knows how to market a film. Of course there are film critics out there who will give him way more credit than he deserves, in the same way that some art critics will look at a blank canvas and call it a masterpiece.

Agreed. Of course all art is subjective so sure, I suppose people are allowed to laud these torture flicks (or a blank canvas) as brilliant, but I can still call the idiots for doing so. I agree with what you said earlier, these torture/gore flicks are interesting sometimes only out of the sick curiosity of, "Wow, kudos to this guy for sitting down and thinking up this bizarre shit while I was doing more productive things." But really, is there any merit to these movies other than a few creative ways to kill/torture someone? It's just shock value and gets pretty boring to me.

It seriously almost sounds like someone made a film of the most disturbing rendition of The Aristocrats they'd ever heard.
