I just want you to know that even Colin Powell is a liar :(

All politicians lie. It's their job to lie and brainwash.

But...but....this is the Bush administration so it's 100 times worst!!!
What other administrations besides Johnson's have started a war based on a lie that was well known to the administration?
I hate to burst your hate bubble, but this admin didn't know everythink they know now before the war.

Grow up.

To stay on-topic: whether you want to hear this news or not the fact of the matter is that an important political figure *may* have lied to the public about a very important issue which has so far cost of billions of dollars and hundreds of lives. To find out the truth about the matter, these things must be discussed and investigated. How else can they be discussed and investigated if this is all just brushed under the rug and ignored?

When there are conflicting reports about WMD, and the one's that don't fit the agenda are ignored, at BEST you can say that the administration wasn't sure about WMD. Saying that there are definetly WMD sites that pose an imediate threat to the USA is a flat out lie.

If you start looking at the information that points to the administration pressuring intelligence agencies to produce evidence of Iraq's WMD then we are really talking about lying.

Shove it in a bit further XZero🙂

So take it to P&N. If we wanted to discuss this polarizing tripe then we would head over to the P&N forum where it belongs.

Discussed and investigated? You already jumped the gun and accused Colin Powell of lying based on one guy's opinion. Admit it. You already have a hatred for the adminstration and you're just blindly accepting facts that will feed into your already set views. Just like Colin did about the war no? 🙂

Yeah, like you're "staying on topic" picking petty fights with people over semantics no one cares about. Then flaming them because you think their comebacks are weak.
Nevermind that half of your "comebacks" rely on the rolling-eyes icon.
But anyway.

Pull up a transcript of all the speeches that predate the start of the war. Never once was it said that the WMD posed eminent danger, nor does it say they posed an immediate threat.

Wow, I'm glad you decided that one for me!

Take this crap to the News and Politics forum.
As I said earlier, I am stuffing this info down your throat. 😀

And I hope you get a nice little vacation for it.

Oh yeah, and thanks for calling this info crap. I really appreciate it.

I'm not really in the mood to go searching for snippets from speech transcripts. Maybe Bush didn't say that Iraq posed an imediate threat, it's just something that I've heard tossed around a lot. I guess thats what you get from reading extremist news sites😀

So I will revise my statement since I can't back it up with facts:

When there are conflicting reports about WMD, and the one's that don't fit the agenda are ignored, at BEST you can say that the administration wasn't sure about WMD. Saying that there are definetly WMD sites is a flat out lie.

Happy?🙂

Yup. But I couldn't really care less about Bush vs. the United State People. He sucks, but so did his opponent, Bush just sucked a little bit less.
