Ya. Do you mean to say that they were wrong? _at_that_time_.
(you try gaming on a 800mhz machine with 256 megs of ram and Windows XP and see how far you get compared to Win98)
The way it goes with these things is that you never upgrade a OS right away. No point. If you want a trouble-free Vista experiance wait till after the first service pack comes out. It's the same thing with Apple and even Linux. Never upgrade a Apple OS until after 10.x.2 comes out and don't upgrade to a newer version of Linux until after a month or two.
Gives it time for the OS makers to shake out the bugs. Despite all the testing and the betas and everything else the real testing doesn't begin until the software gets out and into the hands of the general public.
I agree.
We'll all mostly upgrade in the end along with the hardware, but there's no rush imo.
I'll let the dust settle on Vista before I buy. My current box does everything I want so I don't see the point in upgrading for the sake of it.
Also, the prices I've seen for Vista have been way to expensive, so I'll wait and see if the price drops after a year or so.
I've looked at RC1 of Vista, but it didn't jump out and make me want to upgrade tbh.
