I just took Claritin-D and Benadryl

am I going to die? One pill of each, Claritin was four hours ago.

EDIT: oops I thought I googled but I forgot "at the same time". but the google results aren't very useful so thread is open again.
 
Your probably going to lose a few of your five major senses. But thats all. It will only be permanent, no worries.

Wasn't sure. I've never taken anti-histamine medicine before so I'm not sure what I should know.
 
Google drug interactions.

You shouldn't have taken them at the same time but you will be OK (I think). Your heart should rapidly beat for a while though and get a dry mouth/headache and maybe dizziness.

But do go Google it just to be sure.
 
My wife takes Zyrtec, before that Claritin. She also used to take Benedryl from time to time on top of that. Our doctor told her that taking two different antihistimines (sp?) at a time won't be a big deal so long as she doesn't do it every day.

hey man, drugs can be bad news, mmkay? I didn't know sleeping with a concussion was regarded to be a really bad idea. I'm paranoid about my medicine and stuff.

Just don't take anti-histamines if you're on a medicine to lower HBP.
 
I took a Benadryl and I am on my third beer. Will I sleep today? I hope so, Graveyard it taking it's toll on my bones.

Benadryl can make you sleepy. Sudafed can in some people too, but it's less common. Sudafed can cause elevated heart rate. Those are the main things I've experienced with those medications. Claritin D is both an anti-histamine and decongestant. Since you took benadryl you took two antihistamines... one short-acting (benadryl) but more potent, and one long-acting (claritin).
 
Benadryl alone knocks me out...then keeps me high for about 2 days. I dunno, the wife doesn't allow me to take benadryl since I react so weird. Personally, I think it's great fun. Who needs dealers, I have the cold medicine isle.
