there's not a "Q" either, as long as you dont count element 114.

Don't the symbols for elements come from their Latin forms? There's no J in Latin, so there would be no J as a symbol for an element.

Another interesting fact: Each element is represented with a uppercase letter and usually is followed by a lowercase letter. :Q

not all of the symbols, but a fair number of them do.
