I would have to say my luck with any tech support is very poor.

I just spent a 1/2 hour on the phone with my cable ISP trying to get the right settings for a ftp upload. No luck until after I hung up and tried every possible combination I could think of and WaaLaa, I'm a genius(just like FPS, spray and pray).

I don't know if you should be happy or worried, but I am quite worried that you are asking ATOT which one you should be.

Actually... I can't remember a single past incident where tech support could help me, not one. Sad.

The only reason I call tech support is so I can stump them and make the send out an exchange or RMA the defective item. I haven't called a tech support looking for help yet as I know they won't be able to anyway. If the problem is minor, just go search on their trouble shooting database. It beats sitting on the phone for over 20 minutes just to find out you could've gotten the same information.

its kinda long but here we go.
i have the Olympus C-720 ultra zoom camera and it came with the Camedia master software for getting the pictures from the camera and doing so little things that could be done with just about another program. Only reason i use it is because its designed for a 2 year old and i like its simplicity.

Yesterday i installed Sp3 for win 2K and now when i plug the camera in and try to "get images" from the camera it says that the camera isn?t connected via the USB port. but it shows up as a removable drive under My Computer. i called them to ask if there was a fix for this so i could import them from the camera and not have to use it like a removable drive.

apparently the guy i was talking to really didn?t know what SP3 even was so after we got past that lil difficulty we tried everything reinstalled software and drivers ..... Still nothing. strange thing is that i can use the software to import the images from the removable drive directly because there is an option for that it just takes 3 more button clicks.

SO he said they were going to DL SP3 and see if it happened to them and see if they could come up with a fix

I've never called tech support unless I'm 200% stuck and cannot find ANYTHING ELSE TO DO. Usually they don't know either, and my product gets returned or replaced.
