so for you hop heads, have you ever ran across a beer that you said was "too hoppy for you"

I'm still waiting for that experience.

Can't wait to try these out. I've had the 90 minute IPA, I have to buy it every time I go into a store that sells it, it's that good.

Man after my own heart.

You should try the 120min IPA if you get the chance.

//EDIT:
IPA Recc's:
Samuel Smith India (good, bit over-priced)
Long Hammer / Sierra Nevada favorites that you can find anywhere
Highland Kashmir
Cottonwood Endo - they used to make a dark IPA, might have been a seasonal, but it was VERY tasty.

a beer that is too hoppy would be like a woman that is too hot.

true. I should have said, met your expectations of a truly hoppy beer.

I'm always looking for more.

as far as everyday drinking though, I'd probably go with one of stone's ipa.

Apparently it's got so much hops it ruins your taste buds.

Oh man, that looks awesome. The Ruination IPA is one of my all-time favorites, I'm a huge hophead. Where'd you get all that excellent beer?

Here
Just a few miles down the road. Apparently they'll make special orders.

7 beers would have cost you $105 at the Super Bowl. :p

Ever try Green Flash Brewing Co? Text They are right down the street from where I work and a bunch of us go over there every now and then for a tasting. They used to give free tastings but I believe they charge a small fee now.

I bought a bottle of Dogfishhead 120 minute IPA not too long ago. The grocery store near my home has a pretty good microbrew selection. It really wasn't my type of beer, but if you like bitter, hoppy beers that still manage to be really smooth, you'll love it. I've had some cheap IPA's that taste like flem, I see why you pay more for the good ones.

*edit - One of my coworkers loves IPA's, I got him a 6 pack of 'Bitter Woman IPA' made by Tyranena. He said it was very good for a moderately priced IPA (~$8/6 pack)

I like Mad Hatter (damn....forget who makes it). It's not aggressively hopped like your typical IPA. it has a nice malt balance to it. Very tasty.

The 3x dry hopped Ruination is fantastic! Stone does growler fills of it every so often, and I go as often as I can. They once did a 2x wet hopped Ruination, which was also amazing, though incredibly different from the dry hopped version.

Stone really does some great things with hops. At the 11th anniversary festival, they had their 11th anniversary black IPA wet hopped with Amarillo and Chinook hops. Hot damn was that ever good.
