Without knowing which shirts you've owned, it's hard to argue with that. However, any idiot off the street can tell the difference between a quality $75 dress shirt and a $15 dress shirt from Sears. Now, you can argue all day if the comfort, fit, and style is worth the extra $60, but up to a certain point, you get what you pay for (like most things in life).

Now, since you completely ignored my original post, I'll add the following: class has little to do with money, and everything to do with one's attitude and actions.

No, this country is a shithole because relatively few people have any class.

right, because spending insane amounts of money on clothes with someone's name on them means you have class, right?

yeah look at how many times brooks brothers appears on these shirts:

http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatSect..._Id=1&Section_Id=207&viewAll=t&sortBy=

you can see over the website a higher quality in the stitching, fabric, color integrity etc......

you can? i don't see any difference than any of the shirts i've ever owned

Obviously you can't see anything, you don't even know what to look for you've never owned a decent shirt.

even if i had the money to spend on expensive shirts, i wouldn't do it because its still a waste of money.

also, i live at home by necessity, not by choice. if i could afford to move out, believe me, i'd ahve been gone long ago.

btw, i've never owned a "un-button your fly" t-shirt or anything similar. i'm amazed at how certain you can be about someone you've never met.

So, admittedly you cannot figure out a way to move out of your moms basement but we are supposed to believe you have the ability to form valid insight as it pertains to value and fashion???

my advice to you, don't post in threads in which you have no insight at all.....it comes off as trolling most of the time and makes you look increasingly foolish. You admittedly never have nor ever would own a shirt that cost more than 15 dollars. How then can you provide any type of opinion on something you have no experience with? You are the type of person that would jump into a thread about which tampon is the best and wouldn't understand why nobody takes you seriously.

i never said i can't figure out how to move out. i know what i need to do to move out and thats make more money, which i am actively trying to do, but it isn't so easy. i mean sure, you're rich, get every job you want, get any girl you want, etc, but not everyoen can be as cool as you i guess.

lol, sure thing buddy.

you failed to address the main point here.

you did make some remarks that were irrelevant.... I never stated anything about my wealth, my career(outside of the strip club) or my lack/abundance in the love department.

Yea, I know the posters that say the OP is flauting his wealth and wasting his money and you see the posters signature "E6700 CPU, 4 Gigs of Ram, VISTA Premium, 8800GTX, WaterCool."

Hmm...who's really wasting money?

no you tried(and failed miserably) to make me feel insecure about my apparent success in life while dodging the main point here about why you think your can provide valid insight into subjects from which you have no experience.

how are you ruining your express shirts?
-2 (older made in Turkey) shirts had similar white splotches around the armpit area. threw them away because they were unwilling to exchange/refund
-1 (newer made in Indonesia) shirt also got same splotches. Express claimed they were due to incompatibility between my deoderant and certain dye they use for colored shirts... reluctantly exchange for new color shirt
-1 new color shirt got grease stains on body
-1 another shirt got same white splotches.. NOT on pit area but random areas of shirt

so... enough of this Express nonsense. like the fit and price but hate everything else!

Express uses cheap dyes on their shirts. I like the fit of the 1MX but deodorants will bleach the colors. But for $20 a pop (on sale) I can't complain.

I'm guessing you bought the slim fit Brooks shirts? I haven't tried them but maybe I'll buy 1 or 2 during their semi-annual sale.

Why is everyone thinking that $400 on clothes is somehow flaunting wealth? Anyone that has any resemblance of a career likely has at least that much in clothes, if not a lot more. Quality clothes costs money, and for dress clothes there aren't a lot of reasonable options for men. As others have said, stores like Express are almost shameful in their quality. I have dozens of Brooks Brothers shirts, some of which I've had for as much as 6 years and it still looks brand new.

I think the only people saying that are guys who wear t-shirts and jeans all the time. Nothing wrong with that, but recognize that not everyone is like you and that doesn't mean that anyone is flaunting wealth because they dress well. I wear jeans as well, but usually in the evening or on weekends.
