not sure. i want to get off at&t, but i need to find how good the other carriers are around here.

an android phone is my preference so far.

Take a look at the new Samsung galaxy. I have the old galaxy i7500 and it's alright (though I'm still stuck on android 1.5 for now). I saw the new one at the store the other day (think it's called the Galaxy i9000 or something) and it's a beautiful device indeed. The hummingbird 1GHz CPU makes it quite snappy. The other phone I would consider is the Iphone4, though some people are quite opposed (I probably started a flame war just by mentioning it).

Ah, mostly every provider up here carries the Iphone4, and with a contract they can be had for pretty cheap.
