Upper management meeting today. They got catered lunches. I was freaking hungry. I found a 25% eaten cookie in a plastic box in the kitchen. WHO CARES? I opened it and took it.

Edit: 9/2/09 - (actually I'm updating on 9/29) but since AT search is broken I found the cookie thread before I could find the CHIPS thread from 9/2. The chips thread built off of this one but since I updated the cookie thread today, I'll just link the chips episode here:

Edit: 9/28/09 - I see a bunch of lunch boxes (plastic boxes) in the trash again. I see a few half eaten cookies.... They're protected by the plastic boxes which are closed so it's not like fishing a cookie straight out of the trash.
Downside is I'm having a meeting in this room, but I can always scavenge after I'm done.

UPDATE! FInished my meeting @ 5pm
I hung around talked to a few people and then they left. I eyed the trash can. It was overflowing. I saw an unopened Lays bag of chips AND a half eaten cookie (the 2nd box from the top). As I tried to uncover it, my jenga skills failed me and the whole tower toppled over making a loud crash. Dunno if anyone was watching me as there are cubes right in front of the conference room.
Tower of Trash - Notice that lays bag sitting in the open? My eyes told me it was unopened. I was correct. See the half eaten cookie in the 2nd box? That was my target. Unfortunately trying to get to it toppled the whole thing over.
Right then I eyed a totally UN TOUCHED sandwich box sitting on top of the table next to the coffee machine (In the first pic you can see a plastic box at the upper left... barely. That's it
Why deal with half eaten stuff? I took the unopened Lays bag sitting on the box in the trash can AND the completely untouched box. Screw the sandwich. I'm gonna put it in the fridge for someone else to scavenge. I'll eat the cookie.
Oh and the cookie looks like the one from the OP.

BTW this is a Le Boulanger lunch thing. It's a smoked ham and swiss sandwich.
