Although I enjoy it, I can understand not watching Family Guy.

But your priorities are mixed up. The Godfather is much better than The Sopranos. You should waste no time in putting the Godfather and the Godfather II in your DVD player.

I've never seen the Lion King either. I just watched 300 last night. It was meh.

GF3 isn't THAT bad IMO, it's just bad in comparison to the first two, which are among the greatest films ever made.

it is, and they play them on TV regularly enough that you should be able to catch it sometimes. Its edited (usually) but mostly you just miss the language.

Yeah, seconded. The first two are so f'ing good that it makes Godfather 3 look that bad, when really compared to other movies it's still pretty good.

How can you watch the Sopranos without ever having seen the Godfather? There is subtle comedy in the Sopranos that you wouldn't get if you haven't seen GF.

The second one is even better.. the kiss and the slap are two of the best performances I've ever seen in film.

I watched all 3 of them, in order, in a movie theater that was having a special presentation. It was awesome.

Also I don't jump on the bandwagon of people hating the third one. It's one of those things that people say, and then it catches on until you can't know anything about film until you hate the third Godfather. It certainly isn't my favorite of the three but it holds its own and it is a welcome addition to the series.

Is it weird that I'm 27 and have never seen any of the Godfather movies? Is it even more weird that I've owned the GF DVD box set for about 6 years and I've still never seen any of them?
