I think the reason we found the person ended up being out of luck. One of the people who saw it happen, happened to be a friend of my parents, so he knew it was our car that got hit, and remembered which car hit it.Originally posted by: Black88GTA

 on the house for being a good samaritan and doing the right thing. Just because there is no apparent damage to something doesn't mean there is no damage. Someone hit my moms Minivan (hit and run in a temple parking lot) back in the late 90's. The only visible damage was that the front bumper was coming off (we didn't notice that before we got into the car, because we didn't need to go in front of it to get in) but the chassis was bent like you wouldn't believe, and made driving impossible with the car until it was repaired. To make a long story short, after my parents found out who did it (a combination of witnesses, and the paint color left on the bumper), he had a nice conversation with the wife (who hit the car) and husband at the top of his lungs. Yelling definitely gets people to confess to something, especially when the paint on your bumper matches theirs, and they have your paint on their bumper.Originally posted by: Black88GTA
I just got off the phone with the cops. They should be here shortly.
clarify please...sounds like a 3-some marriage
My father had a nice conversation with the family who hit my mom's car. The wife of that family hit the car, and the husband didn't know about it until my father started yelling. My mother, and I were in our car outside or that families house, and could here my dad yelling. My dad is the nicest person you could meet when it comes to helping someone out (he will go out of his way to help someone that asks), but you fvck with him (in this case, hit and run; in other cases stealing things), and he blows a head gasket.
Good that you found the person. I'll never know who nailed my car when I was at work, other than it was someone in a lifted, very muddy truck. I had to pay $500 out of pocket for my deductible (which is a LOT when you're working PT making $7.35/hr). That little incident pretty neatly offset 3 weeks of work. There were a number of customers in the lot who saw it (I'm sure one of them got the plate) but nobody came in and reported it.
