I thought it was okay, but way overhyped. I can't stand the director, though, so my judgment might be clouded.

If the people you hung out with never mentioned it you were hanging out with the wrong people.

One of the best movies of all time, quentin tarantino roxors my soxors. I can't wait for Kill Bill. HURRY UP AND RELEASE IT ALREADY!

You're gettin' ready to blow? I'm a mushroom-cloud-layin' motherfvcker! Every time my fingers touch brain I'm "SUPERFLY T.N.T.," I'm the "GUNS OF NAVARONE." I'm what Jimmie Walker usedta talk about. In fact, what the fvck am I doin' in the back? You're the motherfvcker should be on brain detail!

now does anyone know what was in the briefcase? ( i do just wondering)

A light bulb.

well actually there was 2, and batteries...

but here is what i think...

If you all are anything like me then you had no idea what was in the briefcase in Pulp Fiction. So, through a friend of a friend of a friend who had a two hour conversation with Quentin Tarantino himself, I now know, and I thought I would pass along the information because it makes the movie even 100 times better than it already is.

Remember the first time you were introduced to Marsellus Wallace. The first shot of him was of the back of his head, complete with band-aid. Then, remember the combination of the lock on the briefcase was 666. Then, remember that whenever anyone opened the briefcase, it glowed, and they were in amazement at how beautiful it was; they were speechless. Now, bring in some Bible knowledge, and remember that when the devil takes your soul, he takes it from the back of your head.

Yep, you guessed it. What is the most beautiful thing about a person: his soul. Marsellus Wallace had sold his soul to the devil, and was trying to buy it back. The three kids in the beginning of the movie were the devil's helpers. And remember that when the kid at the end came out of the bathroom with a "hand cannon," Jules and Vincent were not harmed by the bullets. "God came down and stopped the bullets" because they were saving a soul. It was divine intervention.

[Note: Nowhere in the Bible is it stated that "when the devil takes your soul, he takes it from the back of your head."]

This is a good theory, but it's wrong. It's one of the most widely passed along theories, but it's still wrong. Quentin Tarantino never said that in his interviews. In fact, he said quite the contrary. Quentin Tarantino said in his interview about the movie that he didn't ever have a specific meaning for the contents of the briefcase. He designed it from the beginning for the viewer to make up. Just like how in blair witch you never see the witch? Same principle here. Your own mind will input it's own "best thing" into the briefcase, even if it's only in the back of your mind and you never know what it is. Look on google for pulp fiction briefcase, there's about 200 theories as to what it is, but in the end the truth is it's whatever you want it to be at the time.

I was in high school when it came out and I was na usher in a movie theatre. It played for 28 straight weeks.

If I start watching it I can generally go line by line through the entire thing, I think I've seen it enough for the rest of my life.

It is a good movie though.

haha but i like how mine shows everything.. i know its not but its just how everything in the movie made me think this..

basically every movie that has multiple stories going on like that is in dept to pulp fiction🙂

the watch up the butt part always cracks me up🙂

Wow, this post takes me back. My friends and I were big QT fans before Pulp Fiction came out and went to the first showing dressed as the cast from Reservoir Dogs. Hell, I even have the Japanese LaserDisc release of the film (the first available) with its $124.99 price tag still attached.

Strange thing, I've seen it SO many times that I can't watch it anymore. The pace seems to really drag when you can recite the dialogue from memory. 😉

So he hid it in the one place he knew he could hide somethin'...... His ass. Five long years, he wore this watch up his ass. Then when he died of disentary, he gave me the watch. I hid with this uncomfortable hunk of metal up my ass for two years.
