So I just got mine as well. Yes it is big isn't it. The two power conectors gives me problems as my Dell only has one of those 6 block things and not many of the normal 3 pin conectors that will reach.

So I did have a 512Mb X1800 running 2560 x 1600

3D marks score has jumped from 4500 to roughly 7500

and

Company of heroes avg has gone from 11 to 45 fps.

Yea I was proabably a bit out of line yesterday , but my point still stands. The differences you are to see from a 7950GX2 to a 8800GTX is quite minute.

The 8800GTX is a MUCH better card than the 7950GX2. FPS increase is just one strength of the new card. The 8800GTX is just a MUCH more complete solution than anything out there now. Higher FPS is nice, but it also has MUCH improved IQ and for me underscan/overscan correction is a HUGE plus for me. If I had a 7950GX2, I'd trade it in for an 8800GTX in a heart beat. Also take into consideration that going from a 7950GX2 to an 8800GTX won't be that costly as you can still get quite a bit of money from selling the 7950GX2 now.

I took out the tape measure to figure out just how big this card is..... end result = i'm happy i already have my HD's in the cd drive bay cuz i'm going to have to "cut" out my hard drive bay. I have the Antec Super Lanboy, and since i have to take everything out to mod my case, i'm almost woundering if i should get a new one.

-edit- nm, i'm wrong, post below -edit-

It appears i'm wrong, and thank god.

My x1800 all in wounder (may it RIP) is 10'' long and the 8800 GTX is 10 5/8. What screwed me up was where the power connectors go, on the x1800 it's facing outward on the very end giving me about 3mm of room to play with (took a while to figure out how to get it in), On the 8800 GTX it's facing outward on the side thus giving that extra inch to play with.
