What case do you use? I just want a good idea how this monstrosity will fit in mine. I have an Antec P180, btw.

This is why I went with a deep Lian-Li case, so now the case has no problem with the G80, although I don't think my Thermaltake Xaser III V2000A (very old case, but very big) would have a problem either... I could try sizing it up later to see.

I am buying a 8800GTX in a few days myself, and from my 7800GTX I am likely to see a huge difference, but some of you really have more money than brains. Some of you have 7950s, X1900XT crossfires etc., and you are still going to pay premium dollar for a 8800GTX?

I am sorry, but that is really freakin' stupid.

Unless you have a 30'' monitor waiting, upgrading from a 7950GX2 or a X1950/1900 crossfire setup will not yeild worthwhile results. Especially with price likely to go down $50 in a month or so.

Aikouka, what kind of Lian-Li case did you get?

I purchased:

LIAN LI PC-V1200Bplus II Black

What I never really noticed at first but I think really comes into advantage is how deep the case is. It's also got the flip-flopped mobo design that works perfectly with the PSU orientation ... no need for elongating PSU wires like some users have to do~. It's also.. honestly.. the most "sturdy feeling" case I've ever owned. Most sidepanels feel flimsy.. like they're not even 1/8" thick. This bad boy... I could kill some people with them side panels! Although, nothing beats the destructive force of my Xaser III's solid aluminum front panel door :p. It's only about 1" thick.

That's perfect. That's the exact case I'm planning on getting.

Eat it up mate, I made a profit swapping from a 7950 GX2 and now get far better frame rates and more then double IQ performance with a 8800 GTS. Was the best move I ever made! With my OC'd 7950 GX2 playing at 1080p at max settings was smooth, but not quite enough. With the 8800 GTS it's safely in the 60fps region and beyond with everything on max! 16xTRSSAA aswell!! Check my benchmark thread.

In otherwords you = wrong. LOL.

Not really. I own a leather export business and actually make enough money for me not be jealous of anyone. Even if I didn't, I am not the sort of person to be jealous of another's wealth!

Yea I was proabably a bit out of line yesterday , but my point still stands. The differences you are to see from a 7950GX2 to a 8800GTX is quite minute.
