I just realized that I have spent over 1/2 my life with my wife

Any words of advice for folks not married quite as long as you? :D

the only thing I can think of is we stayed committed to each other and didnt give up when things got tough.

money kids jobs friends..dont let them effect how you treat each other.

and learn to swallow your pride once in a while and say "I'm sorry" ;)

:) Thanks.

I am 42 and my wife is 40. We have been married 22 years.
We actually still like each other.
We have had some rough times (not relationship type per se), 7 Children, scraping by at times. We have argued, but we made a promise, so we stick it out.

I've spent 1/3 of my life (almost 32yo) married to my wife and I have concluded that... monogamy isn't natural and my wife isn't all that lucky to be married to me.

I seem to recall offhand something a professor who's been married more than 30-35+ years said in response to a similar query...

"The secret...is to be a little bit deaf, a little bit blind....and a little bit (mute?)"

Almost time to settle down... almost. :)

I'm 29 and I've spent nearly a third of my life w/ my wife.

Considering you don't remember much before age of 6, practically speaking the % is higher.
