I had a guy try to pull that on me once. Even showed me his car, which had conveniently run out of gas while perfectly parallel parked. Gave him a fiver anyway because I figured that if he was willing to lie to get it, he probably wanted it more than I did. Of course, I had far fewer bills to pay back then (was in HS when I didn't need any of the money from my job).

yeah. ill give money on 2 criteria: if they can come up with a really intelligent, good lie that makes me doubt for a second if they are b.s'ing me or not, or if the bum can make me laugh, like hold up a sign saying "f%#* it, im just lazy!" or "need $$ for beer and a pound of blow". if i have a couple bucks and get a chuckle from the bum, i figure the entertainment is worth a couple of george's.

edit: and for the record, ive been asked a lot, and ive yet to give out $$.

I never give out my cash. If somebody has the time to beg, they sure as hell have time to get a FSCKING JOB!!!!!! I don't care how dumb you are, how handicapped you are, how old you are, whatever - somebody will hire you. Try Walmart for a start. Half the people out there are there because of the suckers that believe their lies and bullsh!t - they make an easy, tax-free living.
