One time i was at work, and this random guy came in saying he needed to go to san fransico and needed gas money. I told him i didnt have any money(which i did, but i wasn't giving it to him). one of my co-workers gave him money sadly...
Its a scam, everyone knows it.... sometimes its that they need money to cab fair to get to the hospital where their granny is dying, or other times its for medicine, etc... bleh
I've served real homeless people by working in kitchens, donating to those etc, but if you ever give them anything , give them food or a blanket. If a homeless person asks for food, take them into a diner and buy them a hot meal, dont give them cash.
Yeah I hate beggers. I like to flash a couple $5s, $20s or so and then hand them some chump change. Because that's what they are.
Or if there are really dirty homeless people on the corner shaking a cup with change I'll say "Oh, sorry. I was about to ask you for change. I guess we're in the same boat!".

Good way of getting robbed. I had a friend who went to buy some dope off somebody in a club. Gave him the 10, and the guy takes out a wad of organized cash, takes his time flipping through the hundreds, 50s, 20s, etc till he got to the 10s section, and put the money in there... and of course he got robbed. Last thing i would do when a bum or crackhead comes up to ask for money is to flash my money around.

i had a guy at with a BMW ask me that once at a gas station. i just look at him, looked at his car, and just turned my back to him.

3 weeks ago, leaving Hooters with some co-workers. family of 3 was out there, father comes up and asks for some spare change, saying their car got stolen, leave in arizona, no money to get home, he'll give us his business card, he swears he'll pay us back, we were "broke", so we told him 'we cant, sorry'.
went again last night with co-workers, same family of 3 asking for money and using the same spiel. DAMN! imagine the odds, getting their car stolen again at the exact same restaurant on a friday night again!
