...after 8 months. I said fvck this and quit.

First off it's a sh*t job (I used to work at Pizza Hut driving). So today they call me in early. I go in early, everythings fine up until a hour later. I get in, put my bag on the rack where all the bags are. A assistant manager flys all the bags to the ground then laughs and goes "now you can pick them all up again". I say no, cus I just fixed them before and walk to the back to wash dishes. There's like 9 barrels of dishes all of them full. He goes since you don't want to do what I say, you can wash dishes all night and you won't get any deliveries. So I washed dishes the whole night with him standing over me, ridiculing me saying "what are you stupid, you have another rack there" or "what you don't learn do you stupid, fill up all the racks then put the dishes away". I was washing dishes for 3 hours up until around 10:00pm. Then I finally finished all the dishes walked to the front, asked to be cashed out and told them I quit and went home.

Even though it was a sh*t job I'm not an animal. I mean gosh, have a little respect.

Time to look for a new job and start on my certifications. :)

:)

man...speaking of pizza hut, check out what my friend used to do. ppl come in and order like 3 pies, wings, and sodas. rather than punching the order into the computer, he'd write th order down on a piece of paper, and ask the guy for $25 cash and pocket it. a few of those orders and its a pretty good nite for him.

I just did all the dishes and left. Walked out quietly, told a few co-workers goodbye and left. Nothing more nothing less. Tomorrow I'm supposed to close and it's the Super Bowl, we get slammed on that day.

Oh well and I was the main person that closed too. :D

Yups, I have more dignity than that. I did what I was supposed to without demeaning myself to do stupid sh*t like play b*tch to a dick-headed reject from the '70's.

Do you have any other work lined up?

I've been awfully tempted to say "Eff this, eff you, I'm outta here!" & walk out the door, but the fact that I have bills to pay & I really need a job keeps me there.

Dude, you rock! That's awesome!

If some manager gave me crap like that, I'd probably quit on the spot. The fact that you finished the dishes and left quietly is one of the most honorable things I've heard of.

You have my respect.

I wanted to walk out when he threw the bags on the ground. But I couldn't leave my friend who's closing suffer with all the dishes. I finished every single dish and then left.

You should get the assistant manager in trouble, he wasn't doing his job properly if he was doing what you say he was doing.

I worked at Pizza Hut for a while There was a Guy who on his last Day Doing Deliveries he took off to do a HUGE order like 15 pies, for a local Collage House. HE came back DRUNK off his ass like 4 hours later.

How in the hell this this moron get into a assistant management position? :|

You might want to drop a line to the store manager or store owner to let them know they have a unprofessional member of their management team.

Good for you for quitting, a manager has no business acting like a fricken 8 year old and you do not deserve to be treated like that. It just pisses me off to no end that some people still live on the elementary school play ground. :| :|

EDIT: who picked the bags up?

He's been like that for awhile. Usually I just ignore him and take as many deliveries as possible to that I don't have to be in the store. But today I guess wasn't one of those days.

This is the second time I wanted to quit but actually did. The first I wanted to quit because of him also. He pulled the same sh*t before. I wanted to report him to the Vice President. But the store manager said if I had any complaints I had to tell him. I said fvck it then and was fine until now.

I wonder what I should do to get him in trouble. :D

To answer the who picked the bags up question.

The CSR picked them up and he told her "why are you doing Sean's job" then pointed at me and pointed at the pile of bags on the floor. I shook it off and continued doing dishes.

Why did he throw the bags on the floor in the first place? Is he on some immature power trip and wanting to see what he can make someone do for him? Well he deserves no respest from you or anyone. I would have probably done the same thing as you.

Get on the phone with the HR of Pizza Hut HQ and do your best to get the district supervisor's phone number. Then see what happens when you talk to your store manager. If you don't think the ass. man. will get in any trouble, let the district supervisor know what happened and why you quit. Then forget about it all, relax, and move on. I don't know what else to say except that the ass. manager is a dumb ass.

Good luck.

yes definatly tell his supervisors about it. Inform his boss, then move on up. Let everybody know what caused you to quit. Pizza Hut will not put up with crap like that.

You really need to file a complaint with your HR dept and District Mgr. You should also speak to your store MGR and tell him you've already spoken with the other depts. Tell the store Mgr exactly what he did and said and tell him what you've told us here, that you aren't an animal and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

Did your co-workers witness any of this or have they been treated the same way? If yes, they need to step up and tell the store Mgr too. Nothing is gonna change until there are enough complaints.
