I'm left without a new mouse, and a cd rom drive period.

I would have bought the Pioneer slot load 16x but those usually sell out within one day, or rather within a few hours.

what a deal on that system! I payed about the same amount to build a 1.1ghz machine almost identicle back in April. How frustrating the advancement of technology can be on the ol' pocketbook

I would've been able to get a system like that also except that I live in Honolulu, HI and they charge a arm and a leg for shipping.

But for the $800 I had to spend, if I went and bought my things locally I would've gotten half of that, and I probably would be stuck with a Duron 800 with SDRAM.
